Cold

It's getting really cold. And it is really really cold.

This week onwards the temperature dropped below 0 degree Celsius and we are at the south-est place of South Korea. You will witness well wrapped multi colored penguins walking around everyday.

For once, I know what else I miss about Malaysia.

The thing that we complaint the most, the weather. I miss the authentic temperature over there, rather than this awkward heat generated with a fan looking heating mechanism. The feeling is not the same, at least at Malaysia, I can breath, properly.

-4 degrees is killing me.

And the weather forecast is not helping either.

감기

It means a cold, by the way.

You know the usual flu and coughing? Yes, and we all have it now.

It started on the 20th of October when everyone in the English Cafe started getting fever and then cough non-stop for at least 2 days.
The cafe was then officially closed until next Wednesday due to the massive outbreak.

All the foreign exchange students are then sent to the Samson Hospital on the 22nd to check whether it's the new influenza or not, which in the end wasted our whole day to let the doctor tell us something like this, "부통감기이에요." (It's a common cold.)

Well, I shall take it as a field trip to the Korean Hospital.
The medicines are packed in individual packings, separated for each servings and labeled with your name.
Thank goodness we don't have to pay.

I know its been a Long time :)

Hello !

I know its been a long time since i've updated.
We are all doing fine here.. Very busy with mid term examinations (this week actually!) and work in the cafe.

Working in the cafe is fun, but tiring. Everyday we are assigned with buddies, whom we talk to in english of course. Some have excellent command but some not so good. So we have to be super patient with them, encourage and help them as much as we can :) This is good training for all of us ! haha.. The Cambodians and one Thai girl who work with us are really nice. :) Although they are going home in March. :( When are the other Malaysians coming over?

Photo was taken at Pusan University of Foreign Studies after a performance by the Cams.

Taken after a Norebang (Karaoke) session at Haeundae Beach

Meanwhile, i am still struggling with the language. But learning little bit day by day.

We all got our cellphones already, despite Jun Haw and I having loads of trouble due to our age. But luckily we got one of our Korean seniors to get it for us. So problem is solved.

Food is another thing here in Korea. I miss Malaysian food sooooo much, i would kill for a plate of Char Kuey Teow right now. I just had dinner though. But still, food here is not cheap and Miss Sophia would you pleaaaseee bring BBQ Pork for us ? *puppy eyes*.

Samgeoksal (Super yummmyyy only RM25 - Buffet!)

Very Very expensive T_T and rare Galbi... Super tasty.. a treat from our professor.

DURIAN ! Wasn't fresh though :( Took it off the buffet table. haha :)

Besides that, shopping is awesome. Miss Sophia, when you come over we can bring you shopping ! :) And beaches, sightseeing.. the view is amazing.

So im leaving, to go study Korean Culture. Midterms tomorrow. Haha...

Bye !

Love,
Melissa

Hello Silla University

Finally we had arrived safe and sound at Silla University, Busan, South Korea.

After the long flight of 6 hours plus and the transfer to Gimpo under domestic flight to Gimhae.

12pm is the time of arrival and unfortunately we had let Mr. Yun to wait for a for an hour or so already, miscommunication I suppose.

On the university van, we were taken from Gimhae airport to our final destination, Silla University. And yes, Silla University is very big.

Very, very, very BIG.

It's like double to triple the size of our Sunway University College.

I'm not going to comment any further.

Haha.

Have to wait for tomorrow's class enrollment.

Will update soon then.
